Jennifer Hudson, Common Confirm Their Relationship Rumors on ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’

Jennifer Hudson welcomed her rumored boyfriend Common as a guest on her talk show this week. During their conversation, the pair seemed to confirm the rumors that they’re dating. Common waxed poetic about his current relationship, offering some telling details.

Hudson introduced Common with a rap about his accomplishments, including that he has an Emmy, Grammy, and Oscar (EGO). When Common came out, he gave Hudson a bouquet of flowers, which she set on the table between them.

One of Hudson’s questions for Common was whether he’s dating anyone, prompting cheers from the audience. The rapper confirmed that he’s in a relationship, calling his partner “one of the most beautiful people I ever met in life.”

He added that “she had to have an EGOT” (which Hudson has), “win an Oscar on her first movie” (which Hudson did with Dreamgirls), and have her own talk show (which obviously applies to Hudson).

Common asked Hudson about her own love life, and she she confirmed that she’s dating someone and “very happy.” He agreed that “this relationship is a happy place for me,” adding that “seeing her happy actually makes me really happy.”

The Rumored Romance Started in 2022

Hudson and Common have sparked romance rumors going back to 2022. The two actors worked together on a movie called Breathe, which is expected to be released this year. Common was later spotted picking Hudson up from the set of her talk show.

In early 2023, a source said the pair had started dating just a couple of months after working together. Although they’ve been spotted in public together several times since then, the rumored couple has kept quiet about their relationship status.

In December, the pair attended an Usher concert together in Las Vegas. Then earlier this month, they were photographed enjoying a basketball game together. It’s nice to get some confirmation of their romance, even if they’re still playing coy about it.
