Justin Timberlake Announces World Tour, Fans Are Disappointed It’s Not NSYNC

Justin Timberlake has made a few big announcements this week, including the title of his new solo album. During an appearance on The Tonight Show, he also told Jimmy Fallon that he’s going on a world tour. However, fans are disappointed that it’s not with NSYNC.

Justin Timberlake Announces New Solo World Tour

Earlier this week, Timberlake released a new single called “Selfish,” off his upcoming album Everything I Thought It Was, out March 15. This will be the singer’s first solo studio album release since 2018’s Man of the Woods.

Timberlake stopped by The Tonight Show on Thursday night to make another big announcement. Recently, the singer has been playing free shows for fans — first in his hometown of Memphis, and soon at Irving Plaza in New York City on January 31.

Jimmy Fallon teased that Timberlake had something else to share. The former NSYNC star played coy at first, before eventually revealing that he’s going on a new tour. The Forget Tomorrow World Tour kicks off April 29 in Vancouver, with tickets on sale February 2.

The first leg of the tour has dates scheduled into July, in cities around North America. Timberlake teased on Instagram that more dates would be announced later.

Fans Would Rather Have an NSYNC Reunion

A number of fans on Instagram reacted to the news that Timberlake is doing a solo tour with disappointment, as they were hoping he’d be going on tour with NSYNC. Last year, the group released a new song called “Better Place.”

“I believe I speak for everyone when I say …. This is not the concert we wanted him to announce,” wrote one fan in the comments. Another commenter joked, “He bringing 4 other dudes that sing in perfect harmony with him??”

Someone else simply wrote, “We asked for an NSYNC reunion, not this.” The comment has over 7,000 likes as of this writing. Another fan commented, “Is he opening for NSYNC?”
