AGT‘s JoJo and Bri Are an Uncle and Niece Duo
JoJo is no stranger to the AGT stage, as he previously competed on the show in Season 15 with a group called Resound, reaching the Quarterfinals. In his Season 17 audition, JoJo shared that his experience on the show taught him “not to give up.” JoJo also works as a vocal coach and producer.
Meanwhile, 14-year-old Bri went viral in 2018 with a cover of Jackson 5’s “Who’s Loving You.” She was invited to appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. She shared that she had been singing since she was 5 years old, and she loved listening to Aretha Franklin as a baby.
In 2020, Bri portrayed a young Alicia Keys in the teaser for Keys’ new album. She’s also sung with Acapop! KIDS, an a cappella group who is also performing in the Season 17 live shows. She started singing with JoJo six years ago.
JoJo and Bri started posting videos singing together during the pandemic, gaining the attention of The View. In their interview on the show in 2020, JoJo described Bri as being “like my niece,” so it seems they’re not actually related but rather just think of each other as family.
