Darci Lynne Releases Music Video for Debut Single ‘Push Our Luck’

America’s Got Talent Season 12 winner Darci Lynne Farmer has released a music video to go along with her debut single “Push Our Luck,” which came out earlier this month. The clip shows Farmer out on a date past her curfew.

Darci Lynne Farmer Shares ‘Push Our Luck’ Music Video

Farmer is known for her singing ventriloquism act on America’s Got Talent, but lately she’s been branching out into singing without a puppet — including original music. Recently, she released her debut single, titled “Push Our Luck.”

The song is all about staying out past curfew with a crush and worrying about what your parents will do when you finally get home. As Farmer sings on the track’s chorus, “Mama’s gonna kill me, Daddy’s sure gonna kill you.”

The song’s music video shows Farmer going out on a date, as her parents warn her to be home by midnight. She gets carried away chatting and dancing with her date, before she realizes she has to get home. The clips of Farmer’s date are intercut with clips of her singing on a stage.

Farmer Competed on AGT: Fantasy League

Farmer recently competed on America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League. For her first performance on the spin-off show, she performed with her puppet Petunia before going solo and singing with an electric guitar. The audience voted her through to the Semifinals.

The Season 12 winner returned to the Fantasy League stage for another performance. This time, she took a risk by performing without a puppet at all. Instead, she sang “Push Our Luck.” Farmer sounded amazing, but it wasn’t enough to send her to the Finals.

The judges praised Farmer for making her own decision for herself, although Mel B thought she should have stuck to ventriloquism for the sake of the competition. Regardless, it was a great way to promote her new song.
