‘America’s Got Talent’ Contestants Share Post-Audition Thoughts Before Live Shows

We saw some amazing performances during the final night of America’s Got Talent auditions this week. In a new video for the show, four contestants share their thoughts after performing for the judges.

The clip includes pizza man Nick Diesslin, young singer Dylan Zangwill, dancer Pasha, and singer Anica. They share some background about their talents and react to their auditions on the show.

‘America’s Got Talent’ Pizza Man Shares Inspiration

Nick, who performed some amazing tricks with pizza dough, calls his talent “pizza acrobatics.” He said there was dough and flour everywhere during his performance. Nick also shared that he loved juggling as a kid, and as soon as he saw someone throwing dough, he decided to combine the talents.

Then there’s 14-year-old Dylan Zangwill, who performed “Somebody to Love” by Queen and blew the judges away. He shared that his parents introduced him to great music when he was younger, and he “developed a loving for rock and roll and blues.” Dylan said he’s “super stoked to share my talent with the world.”

Both Nick and Dylan earned enough “yes” votes to move on to the next stage of the competition, but that doesn’t guarantee we’ll see more performances from them. The show is skipping the Judge Cuts, as the panel narrows down the competition to 36 acts offscreen before the live shows.

Unique Dancer Looks to the Future on ‘AGT’

One of the most unique performances from the last week of auditions came from a dancer named Pasha, who performed with a pair of dancing mannequins. He told the judges that his wife and dance partner missed her flight to join him, although we’re not so sure that’s a true story.

“Unfortunately, my wife couldn’t be here tonight,” Pasha says in the new video, “but hopefully there’s another shot for us, and hopefully we can perform next time together.”

Singer Anica, meanwhile, made it through after a performance of Janis Joplin’s “Piece of My Heart.” She shared that she’s been singing since she was 6 years old, but called AGT “the greatest platform in the world.”

The show will be on hiatus for two weeks during the Olympics, so we’ll have to wait and see if any of these acts make it to the live shows, starting August 10 on NBC.
